MEFOS (Mechanical Fiber Optic Systems) specializes -as the name of the company suggests- in fiber optic systems, especially sensors and related mechanics, such as the patented housing that we currently offer.
MEFOS also offers everything related to sensor systems, i.e. the design of such systems for specific customer needs, their installation and the operation support, such as HW and SW to these systems, their maintenance and service.

Company focus
Motto: „Through the light we seek the truth.” That one sentence is the fundamental building stone of our company. Only light can penetrate into darkness to reveal the truth. Light or radiation in general, whatever wavelength, can feel the best what is happening with the matter, it can see its structure and properties… Therefore, we started to use light in order to see physical properties of this universe with yet unprecedented sensitivity.
Detection by light
We can detect by light any type of acceleration with unlimited degree of sensitivity (please, see one of acceleration/tilting videos on this website). We can detect the presence of any type of optically active as well as inactive substances in the solution (please see the video on detection of optically active substances on this website).
We shine a light on viruses
During covid-19 pandemic we developed pure optic method for viruses detection in the cell solutions, which we already tested at Biocev and SZU (State Health Institute). We want to make it easy to detect any type of viruses, as easy as detection of alcohol presence in the breath of a car drivers. We want to enable scientists to determine immediately, when a biological or any other type of reaction starts to take place and at what speed under given conditions.
Applications
Our sensors can be applied in autonomous navigation systems on the ships (so that misfortune of a cargo ship in the Suez Canal will not repeat itself), as useful tool for scientists to help them in detection of viruses, to the Earthquake monitoring stations to the movement monitoring of any type of structures (high rise buildings, bridges, tunnels …).
